"NTFS drive support really needs improvement"
I tried using iBoysoft Data Recovery with my NTFS external drive on my Mac, but it was frustrating. The drive would fail to mount properly, and even when it did show up, sometimes my files were there and sometimes they weren’t. I reached out to support, but the replies were slow and didn’t really solve the problem. If this doesn’t get fixed soon, I’ll probably just stop using it and look for another option. Not really worth the hassle for me right now.

"Couldn’t Activate My License?!"
I bought the license expecting to get started right away, but I couldn’t get it to activate at all?! I tried entering the key multiple times and double-checked everything, but it just kept failing. Frustrating when you pay for something and can’t even use it.

"Pricy for a one-time rescue mission"
I gave iboysoft.com a shot because I had some files I really needed to recover, and the free scan made it seem like it was about to save the day. Very dramatic, very promising.

Then the price popped up, and suddenly the “rescue” started feeling more like a hostage negotiation. I only needed it once, so paying that much felt hard to justify, and the plans didn’t exactly make things clearer.
For the money, I expected a smoother, more impressive experience. Instead, I’m left feeling like I paid too much for something I barely needed beyond that one moment. So yeah, not exactly my best purchase.

I tried using iBoysoft Data Recovery and got frustrated quickly. The steps weren’t very clear, so I kept clicking around trying to figure out what I was supposed to do. On top of that, some of the wording made me feel like I was being talked down to, which just made the whole experience more annoying. It definitely didn’t feel simple or user-friendly to me

"Too much hassle on my Mac"
I installed this on my Mac hoping it would be straightforward, but it ended up being way more frustrating than expected. There were too many steps just to get things going, and even after all that, some features still wouldn’t open or acted weird. Maybe it works fine for other people, but it definitely didn’t work right for me.

I tried iBoysoft because I wanted to check some recovered files before actually saving them. The problem was the previews were unreliable. A few files looked fine in the preview, but then opened broken afterward. And some files that showed no preview at all ended up working once recovered. So I couldn’t really trust what I was looking at, and I ended up going through a bunch of files twice. it just wasted time and wasn’t very useful for me.

"Freezes at the worst times"
I tried using it twice, and both times it completely froze on me right when I needed it to work. if an app is handling people’s files, it has a responsibility to be reliable, and this just isn’t. I’m not trusting it with anything important again.

I get that scans can take some time, but this one took way longer than it should have. I basically lost my whole evening waiting around for it to finish, i don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect something a bit faster.

"Barely Got Anything Back"
I tried using it to recover files from my drive, it brought back that sinking feeling I had when I first realized everything might be gone. After waiting and hoping it would pull through, I ended up getting almost nothing back. Disappointing, and for me, it just wasn’t worth it.

"setup was a headache"
i tried installing iboysoft and it was way more annoying than i expected. the setup steps weren’t super clear, and i kept getting stuck with the permissions stuff. i had to restart a few times and still wasn’t totally sure if it installed correctly. for something i just needed to use quickly, it felt like way too much hassle. not the best first impression.

"That refund policy felt unfair"
I wasn’t really happy with how the refund thing was handled. It felt way too strict, and this whole process just came across as unfair to me.
